The idea for the event came from the artist Killamari, who wanted to bring together artists from Cambodia and the Philippines and play on the ocean that brings the two countries together.
Kamay’s mission is to fight anti-Asian hate by telling the stories of heroes from Cambodian and Filipino folklore from the perspective of contemporary SE Asian American artists in the South. The Kamay Block Party will take place at Underground Atlanta in the Digital ATL gallery during May – AAPI Heritage Month. Visitors will be able to experience art and culture for free: murals, graphic design art installations supported by augmented reality technologies, a projection mapping experience on the dance floor, and DJs.
We have combined over four decades of experience in producing arts and entertainment events around the city of Atlanta.
